Description:

'Drive by Shooting' is a 3D shooting game that simulates the controversial hit-and-run tactic commonly associated with organized crime. The gameplay focuses on executing personal attacks from a moving vehicle, often characterized by the absence of headlights to remain inconspicuous. Players experience a scenario where overwhelming firepower is unleashed on a target, usually resulting in collateral damage to bystanders as well.

This tactic has historical roots dating back to the Prohibition era of the 1920s, initially employed to disrupt rival alcohol distribution. Over time, drive-by shootings have evolved into methods for revenge killings among criminals. They offer a strategic advantage for perpetrators by enabling quick escapes from both law enforcement and hostile territory. A notable incident occurred in September 1926 when members of the North Side Gang attempted to assassinate Al Capone in a coffee shop, just weeks before the killing of their own leader, Earl "Hymie" Weiss. In recent decades, this method has been increasingly associated with violent street gangs, particularly in California, where studies indicate that approximately half of all reported drive-by shootings in the United States occurred in that state as of 2006.
